Lilac City FSC Aspire Skating Program 2025/2026

We are excited to announce that we have revamped our Aspire program to better serve our skaters. These changes have been thoughtfully made to help prepare and educate skaters on their skating journey. The new additions are off ice training and structured training plans that coaches will follow to help build the skills throughout the series. Below is the sample schedule of what the new Aspire program will look like.

Aspire Program Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays

  • 4:45pm: Off ice dynamic warm up
  • 5:05pm: Skates on and get on the ice
  • Practice time
  • 5:30pm: group instruction
  • 6:00pm: Leave the ice and put away skates

The Aspire Series will now be 6 weeks long (12 classes total). Skaters will receive roughly 45/50 minutes of instruction a day, including on and off ice classes each day. The classes will focus on fundamentals of skating, skill development, strength/conditioning, and explore different features of the sport. The addition of these new features will help foster the growth of fundamentals and establish healthy habits to help the skaters along their skating journey.

We will also have a parent meeting during the 6-week series (specific time/date will be emailed to participants) to help educate parents on the sport, equipment, the skating club, and answer questions. We will also be hosting skating seminars periodically that members of the Aspire program will be invited to attend if they wish to participate.

-The 6-week series will cost $300.

-We encourage skaters to have their own skates once they reach this level. If your skater does not have their own skates, please email [email protected] for equipment help.

-The Aspire Series is for skaters who are Basic 5 through Free skate 2.  We will divide the group into two levels, and they will be with different coaches during the 5:30 to 6pm time frame. Skates must be 17 years and under to participate.

-We have previously had a Teen Aspire on Thursdays, but not that class will be rolled into this one program.

Please reach out to Susannah Hall, LCFSC Skating Director at [email protected] with any questions.
